Router

The expression "router" is used for networks, where it is responsible for distributing packets.

The router may be part of the OSI layer model, which regulates which route a data packet takes to reach another computer .

Or you may find a device called a router in a network. .

This device forwards, or routes, Internet page requests from a network to the Internet (or another network). .

From outside the network, you cannot tell which computer in the network requested the data.
