ROM
In contrast to RAM, ROM (acronym for "read only memory") is a chip whose contents can be read, but not overwritten, during normal operation.
ROM contents remains intact even without a power supply.
There are various types of ROM components:
ROM already programmed during the manufacturing process, PROM, EPROM and EEPROM.
