Drive

"Drive" is a general term for various mass storage units that can be accessed through an operating system.

There are two types of drives: Internal and external drives. Internal drives are located within the computer housing, while external drives are located outside the computer housing and are connected to the computer with a cable.

The following are examples of mass storage units: CD-ROM drives, DVD drives, hard drives, RAM disks.
